Too buy ForeFlight or too not buy ForeFlight/Exam

I have been looking into buying ForeFlight. Just wanted to get a little input, I know that it would be much easier than looking at charts on screen (I only use 1 screen) while trying to fly. Another question I have. What are the rules on doing a shared cockpit flight for say the I-7 through the I-11? Please move to a different file if in the wrong place.

The first question is are you a real world pilot or are planning to be? If so then I would absolutely recommend this product...
If just for simming then it really depends on what you want out of your Sim experience.
I am not a RW pilot nor do I expect to be anytime soon, I resisted the urge but finally bought FF and really enjoy it.
You have to decide where your money is important to you...
PC power; great for the sim experience and graphical immersion (CPU/GPU)
Controls; precise controls are important for achieving good primary flight modeling and performance (Yoke/Stick/Rudder)
Sim addons; Payware items like planes, scenery and weather tools.
Immersion tools; extra monitors, Track IR, headsets, Electronic bag (ForeFlight and others)
One can go crazy chasing all the high end ad dons you see on the streams, ForeFlight is an amazing tool and I love it but ensure that aspect of your experience is more important than the others when choosing to buy.
If all you want is a moving Map with some other features, check out iFlightplanner...the basic features are free.
As far as the I-exams, I may be wrong but I can imagine they are intended to be completed by a single pilot. Not sure of the actual policy however.

What is your charting solution for r/w flying at the moment?

Hi 501Aviator,
if you're planning - or already flying for real in the US/Canada - go for it. Especially with the Pro-Subscription and the Stratus for realtime weather/ADS-B it adds great situation awareness. IT's imho by far the best app for GA. You can use it for simulations too - in order to get used to it's capabilities. If you're flying in Europe only - forget it. But what you'll find then is not as good.
