Good evening, new user, long-time simmer. Have previous experience with SB using VATSIM (not installed on this computer).

Question: I have successfully completed a flight on PE, but never get a popup for the transponder. The aircraft transponder, as well as the old SquawkBox FSUIPC settings/assignments make no difference within PE either. I prefer to fly full-screen, which means I have to switch back to the desktop, and use the drop-down menu from the client.

Is there a better way? Am I missing something?

I'm running FSX:SE and Windows 10, and I've had to run the client as admin to get the key bindings to work for PTT. Other than that, I haven't had the issue of the transponder box/window not appearing. My experience with the transponder is:

1. Set the transponder assigned code in the sim's transponder.
2. Use the floating window to change from standby to normal
