TEC route question

The TEC route between KSAN and KSBA has us flying the MZB 293R to V27, then to SXC, etc.

However, the flights between those two airports that are listed in PEAWARE typically use the PEBLE6 departure out of KSAN which has a transition direct from PEBLE INT to SXC.

Which of the two routings should I plan on?

Thanks as always for your help.

PEBLE6
Have a good look at the procedure and you'll see that it is much the same instruction as the TEC route. It will allow you to navigate on your own to intercept the radial without needing vectors from ATC.

The TEC route for Turboprops and jets seems to be what you're referencing, but the PEBLE6.SXC give the same result without the jog over to the PACIF intersection on V27. Most clearance controllers will assign the PEBLE6 when you call in because it's easier to standardize all of those aircraft types on to one type of departure and, frankly, it's shorter too.

Also, agree with Marcus' post too...

TEC routes cover routes from a general area to another area. Airports can have SOPs which override the TECs. In the case of SAN, there's a SOP which requires us to issue the PEBLE6 SID, trumping the TEC route. However, it generally mirrors the TEC route.

The reason for the TEC route itself doesn't reference the PEBLE SID is because the TEC route is also used from SDM, MYF, CRQ, etc.
