My very own NOTAM

I noticed an error on an approach plate during a recent PE flight and reported it to the FAA. Today a NOTAM was issued to correct it. I'm a little disappointed it doesn't have my name in it. I should've also suggested they rename GIWHE to RYANK. At least that'd be pronouncable.

That is soooooo coool! Interesting cross over from simulation and real world. Who would have thought it could ever go in that direction.

How does the process to report such things to the FAA work?

Will this NOTAM expire when the chart has been updated?

I sent an email to 9-AMC-Aerochart@faa.gov about two weeks ago and got a reply this morning. The chart will be corrected for the 3/3/16 cycle and the NOTAM will go away.
