As a commercial rated pilot (2600156) and former CFI who has not flown since 1998, PE addresses two concerns I've had with getting back into RW aviation; 1) ATC comms and 2)IFR procedures.
Further RW benefits include; division of attention, resource management and situational awareness. The controllers on PE are so professional and so "by the book" it really adds an incredible level of immersion. I find the Adrenalin and perspiration during PE flights to be just as I remember them in RW flying.

When I do get back into RW aviation (soon), I'm positive that PE will have given me a tremendous boost of confidence.

This is a great tool for RW pilots and simulation enthusiasts. Hopefully, I'll see some of you at KOSH this year.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! There will almost certainly be a PIlotEdge presence at OSH this year at the EAA PIlot Proficiency Center. We'll see you there and will share more details as it draws closer.

I have to agree with this, adamantly. With just a week or two on the PE network, I'm getting pretty comfortable with comms, workload management, and situational awareness. I still need to work on procedural stuff and really focus on reading all the text on charts, etc. but PE has been amazing so far. I'd love to see PE big enough to open up more airspace, but hopefully in time that'll come.

One of my co-workers has been going deaf listening to me talk about PilotEdge. He's a long time VFR pilot with good fundamentals, but spends little time in a Charlie or Bravo. His wife asked him to fly her to Lawrence, KS from Columbia, MO and he knew that was a Bravo transition. He's done it before, but it was long ago and he is rusty. After watching some of the ratings videos, he told me "this is perfect for those times when I just need to knock off the rust" before a flight. He's scouting around for hardware and I steered him toward X-Plane. I'm hoping to drag some of my gear up there for a demo next week.
