I flew the Los Angeles Special Flight Rules Area procedure yesterday, N.W. from KSNA to KVNY, for the first time - and found it very straightforward, more relaxed than the Mini-Route. Just one question, the procedure states it's boundary to the south is Imperial highway, which is clearly marked on the chart with a flag whose base lies directly on the highway, and Manchester BLVD to the north.
But in this case the base of the flagpole is resting on the northerly runways, and looking at google maps, Manchester BLVD lies 2.5 miles to the east, not as shown on the chart?
Seems an odd discrepancy when these sorts of procedures are normally absolutely watertight?

The flags mark the visual reporting points, and they're labeled in underlined small caps text: from south to north: Imperial Highway, LAX (overhead), Ballona Creek, Santa Monica VOR.
Manchester Blvd doesn't seem to be a published reporting point: that flag over the rwys is the LAX point.

The "Manchester BLVD" in the diagram seems to be a labeling imprecision: it looks like the boundary goes along the W Manchester Avenue (as depicted on the Google map). Both might be colloquially known as the same thing, not sure, don't have the local knowledge.

If you look to the left end of the blue line below the Manchester Blvd label, you can see the grey roadway marking curving south, as it does in the Google image at the west end. The chart is indicating that the Class B airspace runs along that roadway, and that to the north of it, you are clear of controlled airspace. The flags, along with their underlined labels, indicate visual reporting points.
