Steam Sale - X-Plane Global for $30

Steam has the full X-Plane Global package on sale for US $30 right now, half price. It's the full same version that's sold direct or on disk. You can even enable betas and that will give you the release candidate versions. I'm on 10.45 right now and loving it.

If you've been on the fence, this is a good time to jump in. Get X-Plane, then head over to the x-plane.org store and get the FlyJSim 732 that's also on sale.

Good times...

Steve

X-Plane 10 with SteamOS Linux

Here's an "interesting" option to consider. Linux SteamOS with X-Plane 10 on a 64 bit PC.

More information:

Advantages:
  • no Windows license needed
  • may run as well on older hardware. However expect some "modifications" if running on pre UEFI BIOS
  • may make building a dedicate sim PC easier
Perhaps take the money saved by not needing a Windows license and buying a better Nvidia graphics card (SteamOS supports Nvidia only at this time).

Note, When purchasing X-plane from Steam, both the Linux and Windows versions are included. Going the Linux/SeamOS route does not prevent switching to Windows at a later time.
