Question. I am currently simulating a Boston to LA flight in stages in the Carenado KingAir 200 that I purchased last week. Using 400-500 NM hops each evening to learn the plane before I try to fly it in the Pilot Edge "system". The easternmost airport with PE coverage is Grand Canyon (KGCN).

Question is about how far to the east of KGCN would I check in with PE ATC to complete the flight to the coast?

If you are wanting IFR or VFR radar services, I would say about 2min or so before entering the ZLA ARTCC.

Like Kyle mentioned, pull up the chart on Skyvector, you'll see the ARTCC borders on there with a squiggly blue line. Check in with Los Angeles Center just before crossing that line and you should be good!
