I love these series of videos. This one deals with the question of to turn onto the approach even though haven't been cleared for the approach yet and the frequency is very busy.

It's good scenario-based training, but I find it strange that the assumption in all of the answers is ATC will never contact you again. This would be better for a lost-comms setup, because that's how they're treating the scenario, even though that's not what happened.

Agreed, that was my area of concern when I went through the scenario a while back. Otherwise, it's a good area for discussion.
