CSTN21 confusion!

To the controller with whom I was discussing my route from VTU to KWANG at 4 pm today:
I've done this route several times, and I fly the 282 radial from VTU to KWANG. Today, I inadvertently fed CSTN22 into my EFB, while having the correct route (CSTN21) loaded in the plane! Hence, seeing I was not on V27 on the iPad, I wondered why, and whether the TEC route had been changed. No, it hadn't! Just me being careless. At least I flew it correctly
Sorry.

When you look up both routes in the TEC route search (
http://myflightroute.com/inputtec.php) you'll find that CSTN21 and CSTN22 are both valid, but CSTN22 is only active during east ops at LAX. Additionally, CSTN22 is also used by turboprops, while you have to choose CSTN28 if you were flying a turboprop or jet during "normal" ops at LAX.

All correct, Matthias. I had CSTN21 in the 430s. However, using Skyvector's ability to export to the EFB on the iPad, I carelessly put my finger on CSTN22, in Safari on the iPad, to load the plan and export it. Unfortunately, the fingertip is nowhere near as precise as the mouse cursor on a computer. I didn't really notice what was going on with the EFB (nice for an extra bit of situational awareness for simming and RW!) until I had the map showing me getting near VTU, and I thought - what's all this about? As I have never needed to use CSTN22, it's route was not "in my head"! I was flying using GPS NAV on the autopilot, so the plane correctly followed CSTN21, while the EFB showed I was not on V27! Never mind.......

Ah, now I got you. It was just too early in the morning here in Germany and therefore me not reading carefully enough to see that you already realized what was causing the issue.
