Pattern work at KLAX and KLAS

On today's home page, the focus fields include KLAX and KLAS with suggested pattern times; what kind of pattern work is allowed at a bravo like KLAX?

That's a hold over from when we weren't suggesting pattern work, just city pairs for a cross country trip.
Pattern work at LAX/LAS isn't recommended.
