ATC/Pilot Perspective

This was a great interview with an Air Traffic Controller that is also an instrument rated pilot. It is really nice to hear advice from someone that has experience on both sides of the system.

The Question & Answers are very much focused on VFR flight following and phraseology. Also, covers many of the "why is ATC telling me to do this. That doesn't make sense" misunderstandings. Hearing the answers he gives will hopefully get rid of the fear of speaking to ATC.

There was even a plug for PilotEdge in there. I strongly recommend everyone take an hour out of their life and listen in.

Very cool.

I'm a pilot and controller. I'm not instrument rated though, and I haven't logged time in a while. However I have flown some practice approaches and because of flightsim, was able to do them quite well. Partial panel though... I'd probably suck at that!

Still, if I knew what I know now, my PPL course would have been much different hehe.
