Interaction with other Pilots when flying on Pilotedge

If there any way for a pilot on Pilotedge, to Communicate with another Pilot, ( without breaking the realism, and using the ATC Freq)
ie, a way to send Private Messages. ( Like on Vatsim )
is there a Pilot-Pilot freq for "Open Chat" ?
I saw an old FS friend online last night, that I have not spoken to in years, but could not figure out an approved way to communicate with him, at least to say "Hi -- Long time, no see"

Just like a real plane, dial a freq and call him up. 123
45 and 122.75 are r/w air to air freqs.
The higher you are the better the range will be. Really

You can send pms in the fs9/x client. Xplane client cannot send pm's.
Pm might be removed entirely in future once tech support mechanism is setup.
Bte 123.45 is full duplex to operate more like a chat room, all other freqs are normal.

Yes, but how do I get his attention, and get him onto 123.45 or 122.75 if he is not already monitoring them.
I notice the Pilot Map does not indiacte a 2nd Radio's Monitoring Freq.
So, I seem to be back to the original question -- is there any sort of ( By Callsign ) Private Messaging system in PilotEdge ?

lol you must have been replying, when I was replying .. Cross posts.
I run FSX.. so how do I send a PM ? SB ??
Also, is the special full-duplex 123.45 set to Infinite range ?

We will be launching a TeamSpeak3 server prior to launch where pilots who wish to communicate out of band will have an opportunity to do so. The legacy 'private message' feature in the SB_PE client will likely be removed. The X-Plane client does not have the ability to send private messages.
123.45 is full duplex, but it's still range limited (by design).

You can always run the PE map on a 2nd PC or laptop, and it lists the other pilot's active frequency. Also this is listed on the active pilot's page along with their callsign.

I neglected to answer one of the questions. If you see someone you'd like to hail and they're on an active ATC frequency, you could ask ATC to relay the message, or you could ask ATC if you could ask a pilot a question briefly. That way, you can ask your party to join you on a discrete freq once their flight is done.
I know it might seem odd to not support PM's, but it was a conscious decision to do so.

I can see one BIG advanatge in NOT supporting Private Messages.
The times I have logged into Pilot Edge, I have been most pleased to expereince the LACK of a stream of Urgent PM's from controllers, telling me to contact them on a given freq, BEFORE I have even turned on my Radios, let alone been ready to contact ATC.
A welcome change form some other networks
