Yes, please. We need as many as possible at lgb. When the radio is quiet , the booth is quiet too.

Pattern work at lgb is best. We mostly stay in pattern unless someone is shooting approaches.

Thanks for the help! Several video pieces have been done, including a killer pinch hitter scenario that had everyone on the edge for 45 mins.

More when I can.

If it helps, we're running just two scenarios at LGB for the most part:
1) pattern work on one of the runways
2) calling for an IFR clearance to shoot the ILS rwy 30

If you're flying to help us out in the demo, it would be most helpful if you were doing one of those two operations. Those DIRECTLY contribute to the local traffic for our scenarios.

That said, ANY traffic is welcome because I have set up a monitoring tool the captures and broadcasts the audio from all frequencies. So, even if you're on a different frequency, we capture just about everything so the crowd can hear it.

Thanks again for the help, it's greatly appreciated.

WX doesn't look great for pattern work:

KLGB 240228Z 2402/2424 17005KT P6SM FEW009 BKN012 BKN025
FM240500 VRB03KT 5SM BR OVC008
FM241600 20004KT 4SM HZ OVC012
FM242100 22009KT P6SM SCT015

I'm happy to shoot the ILS RWY 30 a few times, though...

Scott,

You can set your weather to what you'd like if you wish. For the demo purpose, I would suspect to see them set the weather to a variety of conditions in the PFC sim (much as they did last year in Long Beach) and continue to do closed traffic. The weather conditions on Friday were not much better than the TAF is showing for tomorrow, actually.

Regards,

Thank you, gents, the radio traffic on Saturday which pretty much continuous, allowing us to draw more and more people to the booth.

One of the highlights, for sure, was when we had 4 in the pattern at Long Beach. The radio was going almost constantly, with transmissions that closely mirrored what would've been heard in real life under similar circumstances. The pilots did a fantastic job!

If you were one of the pilots who flew during the AOPA Summit, and you're not a controller here, please let me know via PM.
