My first month on PE

Greeting from Hungary!

I'm a 34 year old simulator geek. I have been flying sims since my teens but I never got into online flying. (Tried IVAO a couple years ago but the coverage was just not there)
I jumped on XP11 as it became available, and while reading about compatible addons I stumbled uppon PE.
Since my personal goal it to work my way through a real pilot training using the real world training materials (I even do the tests :D) and a simulator for flying, PPL, CPL, IFR, ME, ATPL (currently on Multi Engine and collecting my 250 hour) I tough this will be perfect.

After a considerable amount of fear and doubt (about my abilities to form coherent sentences in English :D ) I signed up a few weeks ago. I jumped right into the CAT program with XP11 and the Cessna T210M Centurion with REP extension, finished it then went ont to the I ratings, done the last one a few days back. Now I fly the Baron B58 with REP to get my 250 hours, the alphabet challenge is great :D (what should I do after it, any tips ? )

I have to say I'm amazed by the controllers. All helpful and professional!

I would like to give my thanks to all the PE staff to make this amazing service. It totally transformed the way I fly. I feel much closer to reality then ever before.
Now my problem is I can't imagine flying without speaking to ATC :D

I also would like to apologies for my strange call sign HA-BAL, hard to say it when I'm on the Baron , "Baron Bravo Alpha Lima" ,just try to say it fast :D I keep tipping over my tongue :D

Looking forward to fly more on the network!
Keep up the good work guys!

It's funny that you mention the callsign. I did a lot of my flight training in a C172 that had the callsign C-GEKL. Say "Echo Kilo Lima" 10 times fast.

Welcome to the network! Glad you are enjoying it!

Welcome to the network! I've worked you on a couple of flights and agree with JX, you're doing fine.

A note regarding your callsign: international registrations cannot be shortened in the US. This is why you typically won't (or shouldn't, at least) hear us refer to use as "Baron Bravo Alpha Lima". It's Hotel Bravo Bravo Alpha Lima" or as JX mentioned, "H A B A L" with each letter being read out individually (but without using the phonetic alphabet).

If you'd like to make your life slightly easier, and that of the controllers, consider using a US registration, such as N132BL. That way, you would be "Baron 1 3 2 Bravo Lima" or shortened, "Baron 2 Bravo Lima."

Ye I will have to try and use different callsigns, but I'm struggling with a single on right now :D, as I gain confidence and I start to fly bigger air planes I will try to use a different one every week/day :P
