I was just getting my clearance when everything went silent. Tried reconnecting a few times with no avail. Anyone else experiencing this?

No issues that I've been made aware of. I see controllers and pilots online and the planes are moving.

I've been getting intermittent sudden loss of communications with the server with latest version of the PilotEdge plugin for Linux on XPlane11. On XPlane10, it was rock solid and never had a single issue over a year of usage. The pilotedge_stderr is empty, but I'm attaching PilotEdge_out.txt if it is of any help. I tried disconnecting and connecting with no avail several times, then all of the sudden, I can hear ATC again, it's very odd.

It seems I can't attach .txt. files, it says txt is not allowed. Here is link:

The log.txt is an android log file, not PilotEdge.

Question, are you getting disconnected from the network, or are you simply not hearing any comms while remaining connected? If it's the former, can you double check your system voltage in the aircraft using the data output screen?

i know who this is. I could see him connected while his radio was out. He reconnected about an hour later, got to taxi then couldn't call the tower. I don't recall if he tuned it, but he was connected.

Found the issue! So this was quite interesting, but I can connect fine, then after a few minutes, can't hear a thing. Turns out it was indeed electrical issue. My throttle quadrent is not working, so I had to use the one that comes with the joystick. Unknown to me, I was setting it to Cut-Off instead of Idle, which was causing the alternator to turn off, so battery is discharging with time until it cuts off comms and other functions (but PFD + MFD OK) when it gets to critical voltage. Anyway, problem solved and it was due to quite a bit of realism in XPlane part, but I didn't think batteries would discharge within half an hour!

Batteries are only required to be able to power the systems for 20-30 mins if memory serves. XP11 changed the function of alternator output such that they don't really come online until a smidgen above idle, and even then they only produce a small amount of current. The power has to be increased quite a bit above idle to get the full output. If you play with the stock 172 and look at the battery/alternator states, all will become clear.
