Not too long ago I had a nice 4 seat simpit that was bush themed to have a DHC2 Beaver feel and was dual controls. About a year ago I got my Oculus Rift and created a small simpit for VR flying not wanting to give up all my hardware I had for my big sim. Shortly after I realized once going VR I never used the big sim again so I brought more stuff for it. What once was built to give a Piper Cub feel has now transformed into a everything sim. Helo, taildragger or yoke...I think I got it figured out. Including supporting Xplane, P3D and AFS2.

In P3D the GTN750 popup window is a great source for easing the workload of radios and charts and what not needed while flying on PE. In XP11 I am almost fully night flying the Bell 407 helo. So if you ever hear me on the radio as Bell 508UV, Great Lakes 589 or Mountain Air 24 as my main go to call signs this is where I am sitting and feeling around like a blind person for the various controls.

What are you using for the cyclic and collectives? Is the cyclic homemade?

Yes the Cyclic is home made. Its just a Logitech joystick. By some weird chance we were having electrical work being done at my place of work at the same time I was building my old simpit years ago and they had a conduit bender. It would heat the plastic up allowing one to then bend it in any shape and then cool to be formed. So I used that to shape the stick and just hose clamped it onto the joystick. Its light enough and the spring is firm enough to work without issue. I've always wanted to finish it by buying an automotive gear stick base cover and cover the joystick at the bottom but havent.

The collective is the PUMA Pro Flight Trainer https://pro-flight-trainer-com.myshopif ... ntrol-sets and I just mounted it to the side of the seat base which is just wood. Total on that was like USD317 but worth it. Would love to have the cyclic as well but dont have the room or set up for it in my current simpit.
