Quick question, I have also checked network from X-Plane, I turned on battery and I contacted SMO Ground on 121.9.
I have heard what seemed to be a recording first, then after that I contacted ground again and I heard the controller.

Is that recording is going to be what I hear when I try to contact any controller for the first time I log in on the PE in simulator?

Fantastic, I am very excited, I am going to make my first flight shortly on ne wPE.

What you heard was me

It was the daily opening announcement, that pilots will hear each day at 0800. A closing announcement also occurs at the end of operations.

Due to a tragic childhood accident, Alex had to have his personality removed. As a result, you're not the first to confuse him for a recording.

Now, that is clear .....great job, Alex. Good luck with getting your personality back. Excellent!!!

Is there a way to get back to PilotEdge home while in the forums without having to back to my personal Favorites?

negative, the forums have never really had a link back to the main site before. We'll get that link added when we can. For now, suggest opening the forum in another tab.
