Hi, I wanted to know what the proper phraseology for pilots requesting a practice instrument approach on a VMC day. I looked into the 7110.65 but this was for ATC and could not find any information for pilots.

If you want to request a VFR practice approach, just request a VFR practice approach. Pilots have far less defined phraseology than ATC.

“N123, request RNAV runway 19 VFR practice approach.”
