Call sign

Greetings,

Question: Can I create any call sign I want regardless of what's the actual tail number on the plane livery shows?

Since the Cessna 172 in X-Plane 11 shows the tail number to be N172SP, (and there is no way to change that in X-Plane), It would seem that would create a problem if everyone on pilotedge used that call sign.

Also, if I was on a ramp next to someone flying the X-Plane Cessna, would I see N172SP on their plane but hear them making calls with the call sign they created?

So can I create my own call sign even though the tail number on the plane will show something else?

Thx,
Mike

Yes, you should come up with your own callsign to avoid conflicts with other people using the same default aircraft. What you see out of the window will be the stock 172 visual model that we include with our distribution, unless they have selected one of the other liveries (most people aren't aware of the specifics codes to do this, though)
