How to Load Simconnect

Hi All

I know this is an MSFS issue and not a PE issue, but I'm asking this anyways with faith in this forum's community spirit...
My MSFS simconnect hasn't loaded. Simconnect.xml nevertheless resides quietly in my MSFS folder.
How do I get it to load? I'm hoping that others here have encountered this situation...
