Was wondering if I could get the Teamspeak info to be able to join and fly with friends?

Our teamspeak is used primarily for controller coordination and technical support. We are considering opening it up for PE members, or having an additional server for that purpose. In its current incarnation, though, it's not generally being used by the PE pilot community, you're not missing anything

What did you have in mind, specifically?

Well just something for pilots wanting to be able to fly together and communicate with out interfering with ATC through PE. Luke and I where going to do a flight together tonight and just wanted a way to be able to communicate with each other. I think there is a private talk button through PE, I'll try that.

Hey Denny,

Not sure if your into joining VA's, but X - US Airways is a PE supported VA and we have a program for pilots to log hrs while flying on
PE. We do have a minimum requirements to do so, but you can fly any aircraft you have, it doesn't have to be one of our official fleet planes.
We have a teamspeak server available and you may use it for PE communications. There are quite a few pilots who fly on PE while
connected to our server, including me

Understood. I'll see what I can do about getting the TeamSpeak usage policy published in the near future. In the mean time, I'll send the TS3 info to you and you can pass it onto Luke.

Real world uses 122.75 for fixed wing and 123.025 for rotors. Any way we can work it into the system limited by distance (long-term wish list of course).

You can already use these frequencies right now. The radio system works 24/7 and is not dependent on ATC presence.

Since we only support one com radio right now (in terms of the PE radio system, independent of the sim's built-in ATIS support), pilots would have to choose between working with ATC and speaking with each other. That's why the TS3 solution might be attractive to pilots. That, and it's a tool that many are familiar with, supports multiple rooms, etc.

Forgot about the Com radio issue. That is a game changer I suppose.

Although, I think that I will start using the aforementioned freq. while flying uncontrolled with friends as I would in the real world. Should make for some fun.
