PTT assignment

My PE Client settings correctly have my Honeycomb Alpha Button 1 as being my PTT. However, using that button does not transmit. I can hear ATC and other pilots, but I cannot transmit. I have tried binding Button 1 within MSFS2020, but there is no PTT function available. Does anybody have a solution to being able to use the PTT just like in real life?
