I have been recently considering going through and completing all the ratings available in the PIlotEdge Training program.
Upon reviewing the overall practical test standards (list of requirements for all ratings),http://training.pilotedge.net/object/pts.html, I noticed an outdated and therefore incorrect test standard. I just wanted to politely suggest that it be updated so that pilots, either in the sim or the real-world, do not build/reinforce outdated habits.
The outdated error is this:
"Squawk standby while on the ground with the exception of airports where Mode C is required on all movement areas (see airport diagram for info)"
What follows is the relatively recent change...
From the AIM, "4-1-20 Transponder Operation":
3. Civil and military transponders should be
turned to the “on” or normal altitude reporting
position prior to moving on the airport surface to
ensure the aircraft is visible to ATC surveillance
systems.
As an aside, I NEVER read my email so I was unaware that at some point in the past PilotEdge began offering annual membership at a 25% discount to the monthly rate. I love it and so does my wallet. Thanks Keith!

Re: Outdated/incorrect information in PE PTS
Definitely correct, I'll get that updated. I'm glad you like the annual option, it's been there for years
