The solution I found was embarrassingly simple. I Just had to ensure that my microphone was plugged in to my computer prior to starting X-plane. If I plugged it in After i started X-plane, i got the voice disabled message. I don't know if this is still an issue in 10.50.

the real world helicopter air to air advisory frequency in the Los Angeles area is 123.025. I know the drones don't respond, but you might find yourself in a similar situation in the future with a real person at the controls. I'm not sure how many people on PE actually use 123.025, but it might be ...

Helicopter VFR transponder codes
The FAA recently put out a letter to airman describing the use of discrete transponder codes for VFR helicopters operating in the Los Angeles area. Will PE be observing these new guidelines? or should VFR helicopters keep using 1200 when flying in PE? Here's a link to the new LTA.

This afternoon I took a flight from KBUR to KSBA. I've adopted Burbank as my base field on PE, and I've flown from it many times, always VFR. When I connected to the network this morning, I get a "Connected to PilotEdge, Voice Disabled" message. this didn't happen last night, and I haven't changed any of my auido settings. I verified my primary recording decive, restarted the sim and i get the same thing. any ideas on what's causing this ...
