PE misses Cessna 162 Skycatcher

Post by Sabre »

Hello, I can't add Cessna 162 Skycatcher to the PE as required. The problem is it's not in the Aircraft list yet to understandable reason. Meanwhile, what would be the closest Aircraft Type to substitute before this list is updated? I named it Cessna 162 Skycatcher and selected CESSNA 172 in the dropdown. Please advise.

Thanks.
Sabre.

I would pick a Cessna 152, that's probably closest. I will see if we can easily add aircraft to that list and will make sure it's updated for the next release.

No, there's no C-152 neither, so I'll stick to CESSNA 172 (C172) Type if no other inputs from you. In the Description I have Cessna 162 Skycatcher.

Thanks,
Igor.

Thought I'd throw this out there:

http://www.icao.int/publications/DOC864 ... earch.aspx

I searched and the type shows up as C162 -- I've had success with simply stating my aircraft type to the clearance/ground/tower when I check in for my initial assignment.

I'm flying a Tecnam p92 Eaglet or Tecnam P2002 Sierra, and do my initial check in (both with FSX and X-Plane) and just announce that I'm a Tecnam LSA, which constitutes my getting a call of 'tecnam 905GB' or 'Tecnam 619BV' thus far.

We have the Icao DB linked from the site, that is not the issue. The pilot client needs to be updated to allow for it.

Keith,

There is also no option for the C510 in the client

Keith -- Any update on when this is going to happen? I've been pushing through looking at the database for any type of light sport aircraft, and its simply not showing up. I've been flying as an RV-7 (roughly the same size/shape as a CZAW Sport Cruiser) but I'd like to see the CRUZ in my pe-aware, and my instructor would like to see it, too!

Well, I've taken the file that actually controls how it shows up and modified it -- so now CRUZ and C162 will show up in x-plane. I'm currently getting a list of all the LSA's that have simulator files available in FSX together and will be sending it to keith + posting it here so that others can consume it.
