This would be interesting. There are only two add-ons preventing me from using 64bit X-Plane.

One is FS Economy (update, got FSE working on 64bit) and the other is the PilotEdge client.

Good luck and thanks Keith.

Happy New Year, all!

Thanks Keith... The 64-bit X-Plane 10 is really much better on my PC (than the 32-bit version) and the lack of the PE plugin is all that's holding me back from the upgrade. I look forward to hearing about the availability of the 64-bit plugin as soon as you can find the time to get it done.

Thank you for creating PilotEdge and have a wonderful New Year!

Sincerely
Charath

Charath,

In the mean time, there are no performance improvements in the 64-bit version. If you reduce your memory usage within the 32-bit version, you should be able to get it to run just as well (albeit with less visual candy, potentially).

I started on the port to 64-bit tonight. It's going to be quite a bit of work, will post updates here.

Since X-Plane 10 in 64bit is still in Beta, we can only be patient.

No one wants Keith to waste his time if he will have to redo the code once the Release Candidate comes out.

Thanks for your commitment though, Keith, and Happy New Year!

Thanks, Lee. My reasons for holding off on the 64-bit dev were not related to waiting for 10.20 to become final, but I appreciate the support all the same!

I'm making good progress here in the office on the 64-bit port for Windows. I have a 64-bit build environment (that's half the battle) and all of the dependent libraries built for 64-bit, just working on the plugin itself now.

Awesome news Keith! I can also be a guinea pig, if you need one. I run on Win7.

Happy New Year!
