Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
My previous reply had the wrong link (was for the 2012 Visual C++ runtime). Updated to the 2010 runtime.
Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
As mentioned in my email. The 2010 runtime seemed to fix it.
Late now, but will test preperly tomorrow.

Happy to post that 64 plugin worked after the latest mentioned download. I am shown on PE main page, will test comms later on. Great job, Leith.
Cheers, AJ

Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
Sounds like we've had 3 use it and get it working so far. Anyone else?
Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
I have done more testing and it is mainting in being solid.
Thanks for you efforts, Keith.

The only thing that I will have to wait for before I switch, is the 64 bit Saitek controls plugin. Anybody heard anything on the subject? I bet they wait till X-plane 10.20 becomes final.

Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
Keith,
Thank you for the plugin. I installed it last night and tested it out on a flight from EMT to SMO. Worked like a charm. Also, I had no issues with having both the VSPro (32-bit) and VSPro64 DLLs in the folder.
Sorry for the delay in trying this out, despite the earlier pressure I put on you... I was just recovering from a viral fever these last few days.
Sincerely
Charath

Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
I just did a brief check with the 64 bit plugin on Windows 8 and it seems to be working fine. On a side note, my Saitek panels (switches, radio and autopilot) also seem to be working fine.
Great work!

Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
xlnt, thx guys. No known issues for 64-bit for Windows, then.
The next X-Plane beta could be pretty rough, though, be prepared. If you get the option to upgrade, I would hold off until I've had a chance to post a report here about how it's working (I'll upgrade as soon as it comes out). There are some SDK changes coming in the next beta.

Re: 64-bit beta for Windows
I finally gave the 64-bit plugin a try. Started up fine (after getting the mentioned mscvrt library). Logged in and did a successful comms check with GND.
For arb65912, I believe the 64-bit xsaitekpanels has been out for a while already. I gave it a try and it appears to work fine for me.
Running x-plane 10.20r1 (not final release yet)... if I enabled HDR it would crash immediately. I sent a few automated reports to Laminar. Hopefully they'll resolve that soon.
