Hello PE Friends!
I am progressing along, getting used to flying the sim, tweaking my panels, controls, etc.. I think I'm ready to shift focus on true IFR training, workload management, flying approaches, etc. Frankly, I need to drop the weather down to minimums and start flying some short hops with full approaches. However, I have a question... Is there a way to pull wind from the real world and just override the clouds and visibility in X-plane. This way I'll know which runways are in use by everyone else, etc. Any thoughts or suggestions on this? Or is the wind something I'll just need to set manually also?
Need some crappy weather...

Re: Need some crappy weather...
Hey there,
You can't mix and match real vs synthetic (I've found myself wanting the same thing, btw).
Best bet is to check the weather for your destination, set the winds to that same setting (mimicking the real world winds), then set clouds and visibility to your liking.

Thank you sir... Unfortunately, that's what I thought... Hard IMC, here I come.... I'll just put a note in my flight plan that I'm using IMC.
