Newbie impressed with PE service

Post by robnpat »

All,

I just started flying w/ PE last night, and have to say that this really changes the way I fly. It is so nice having 'actual' radio communications instead of a computer. Also, I realized just how rusty I am in using the radio. It has been 4+ years since my last real world Instrument flight, and since I don't have my medical anymore (thanks to my horrible Crohn's which keeps me grounded), I can keep the candle lit in my heart on flying because of PE. I'll be moving from my trial to the month-month as soon as trial is over. Thanks to all those controllers who are patient and professional.

Welcome Rob. I'm only a few months ahead of you (on PE), but I still remember feeling like this just a short time ago.

You have to check out the Workshops too. They're really great... and for so many reasons.

Hope to see you in the air soon.

Rob,

You hit the nail on the head. It certainly does change the way you will fly! Enjoy it and welcome. As Cyrus suggested...if you can make the online workshops, it's a great way to meet other PE users and enjoy a bunch of useful, practical material as we power our way through the world of IFR. Grab TeamSpeak3, connect to ts3.digitalthemepark.com and we hope to see you tomorrow night (see the workshops page for more info.)
