Filing flight from outside to inside PE coverage area.

How do I file and receive clearance from outside of coverage area? E.G. KSFO - KSNA?

File as usual from sfo, depart on the ctaf, call us at the ARTCC boundary using the enroute chart. 135.50 is a center freq you can use.

2200 would be a reasonable starting point, then just wait for the assignment from ATC.
