Just in time for PE's birthday bash. ORBX just announced the release of several SoCa airports for free, including:

KRIR, Flabob Airport, Riverside/Rubidoux, CA
KVNY, Van Nuys Airport, Van Nuys, CA
L35, Big Bear City Airport, Big bear, CA
L52, Oceano County Airport, Oceano, CA

Great find. Curious if it will somehow require Global to work correctly. I'm stuck at work until Friday, so can't try and find out until then.

These freeware airports are the enhanced versions of the default airports, meaning they are up to date in layout and building placement. The airports also use many objects from the Orbx libraries you download periodically. The airports are better than default, but not to level of their detailed freeware airports like KBHM. Still a good upgrade from default and you only need FTX Global and the latest Orbx libraries for them to look right.

Yeah, not really looking to pull the trigger on Global. Will have to just experiment to see if they work without it. Thank you though.
