Sim720 Catalina Island

Post by twharrell »

Sim720, a "new" developer who has actaually been doing several projects for Orbx, has revealed they are working on Catalina Island. It looks very good!

It looks amazing. Almost overkill actually - the detail on the back side of the buildings and such will never be seen by 95% of people using it, but I guess it's cool to know it's there.

I wish X-Plane had individual bushes and long grass like FSX, it really adds to the realism when you're on the ground.

It won't be long before we will be able to order a virtual buffalo burger at AVX. We are getting closer to the holodeck every day.

There's now an excellent freeware scenery via Aerosoft

Ryan,

That is very interesting. I didn't know that freeware demo existed. Nice find.

I just read that the US Cities Catalina Island Free Demo scenery from Aerosoft is compatible with the Sim720 scenery. So now you can have the best of both worlds if you choose. :D
