VFR communications under Houston Class Bravo

Post by twharrell »

I thought this was a great video demonstrating VFR communications during a flight from KEFD to KDWH under Houston's busy Class B airspace. This is a ferry flight of a Pilatus PC-12NG ( :P drool), single pilot ops.

This is the general route of the flight (flown at an altitude of 1800 feet) depicted on Skyvector:

And here's the video:

Enjoy!

Wow, I did exactly the same flight in reverse when visiting two flight schools down there a long time ago. I took the same route, except I went through the Bravo.

Argh would have been a nice video but you can barely see the ground due to the camera metering. I found myself looking at the galley cabinet door more often lol.

Also I'm not a fan of those fisheye cameras... Can't see the avionics either.
