If you have a simulator-specific question, I'd recommend asking in the FSX, FS2004, P3D or X-Plane forum so that you can get help from people that use the same simulator you're using. Otherwise, it's difficult to answer this question. I can tell you that the SAN normally lands on rwy 27 with visual, RNAV RWY 27, or LOC RWY 27 approach unless the weather is low enough to warrant the use of the ILS RWY 9 approach.

110.90 is the localizer frequency for I-UBR, which is the primary navaid for the LOC RWY 27 approach.
111.55 is the localizer frequency for I-SAN, which is the primary navaid for the ILS RWY 9 approach

I thought you were having a simulator-specific issue, that's why I suggested asking in our simulator-specific, sorry about that.

Should we assume that you are using FSX? If so, any add on's? ARIC updates?

As a reminder that the default FSX is "frozen" in time around 2005. Which is almost 10 years ago.

Note, Plan-G uses the FSX database as part of the installation process. This means that Plan-G will show the same data as what FSX shows.

Further, there are some "add on packages" that update/change the FSX navigation data base.

Here's some sample threads talking about the changes to KSNA LOC. Note the dates on some of the posts.

http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=43318

Here's a link to a very nice person (Graham Mitchell) who has done some great work with maintaining and updated AIRAC database for FSX. This will update the "fix" database inside FSX.

Does this help?

i will try to clarify

in plan g ISAN 09 is depicted as 110.9. in sky vector (isan09) is depicted as 111.55...it worked in my sim with 110.9 not 111.5

iubr is depicted as 110.9 (rw27) in plan g and in sky vector is 110.9 just loc approach not ils.

Sounds like the nav data is out of date or inaccurate. This is why I was implying it was simulator-specific. :)

The data in FSX is wrong. As best I can tell from discussions about this problem on other forums, the real-world frequency was changed about 3 years ago. FSX hasn't been updated in almost 10 years, so in their world the ILS is still on the old freq. You can fix this by updating your scenery files--either manually or by installing a third-party add-on. Or you can just use the old frequency while you're simming.
