drones and recordings were offline (now back)

Post by Keith Smith »

This was pasted on FB last night just before close,I apologize that I didn't crosspost it here. Yesterday was a challenging day.
One last ops note for the night, Drones and ATC recordings are offline for the moment, they should be restored in a few days, drones first then ATC recordings after that. It was a choice between more features for the release (P3D support and audio device selection for all the platforms), or having the drones and recordings ready.

The decision was made to sacrifice drones and recordings for a few days, making the other features a higher priority. Don't worry, it won't be long, they're all coming back!

The drones are back as of a few days ago, nearly done fixing recordings. The new voice SDK is quite different when it comes to capturing this data.

The hourly recordings are not 100% stable yet. I'm chasing down the last few issues in the new recording code. You might see chunks of time missing from the recordings. Will post here again when they have been stable for a reasonable amount of time.

Making some good progress on stabilizing the recorders. I expect to have this totally stable in the next few days. For now, there will still be gaps in the recordings from time to time, I apologize for the inconvenience.

The drones are fully functional. How are you testing, exactly?

I checked from the airfield NE of John Wayne which is filled with drones.
From external view, none appears. Appart from that Pilotedge itself is running fine.

The early builds included a new baron CSL, the lights aren't as bright. Go park at el toro on 16l or 16r for 10mins, let me know what you see.
