Canadian registration #s

Post by mcdonaldc »

Hello all.

Lets say for example, I am flying a VFR on PE, using a Canadian registered aircraft C-FIOM... do I pronounce it as Charlie Foxtrot India Oscar Mike -- or because there is a dash in the #, do I pronounce that too some how?

You can omit the dash from the phraseology and simply state your callsign as you hypothesized (7110.65, 2-4-20).

You may also omit the dash from your callsign when you log in.

You can also say CFIOM ("Cee Eff Eye Oh Em)/ or Cessna F-I-O-M and read out the letters without saying Charlie Foxtrot India and so on
