Drones - landing in wrong direction
Went to Catalina. Winds favoured 22, which is the preferred runway anyway for landing. Drones seemed to be using 04. So, I've announced I'm coming in to 22. Who wants to land with a tailwind on a downslope? What are you expected to do? Ignore the drones? I was able to land without a conflict, but well may not have done. So, is one expected to go around, or what?

There is one drone that departs rwy 4. You can ignore it, or take steps to avoid it, it's up to you. It must have been recorded on a day with northeast winds.

In real life, I wouldn't be surprised to find opposite direction ops taking place. Flew in to a non-towered airport the other day and had to deal with an opposite-direction aircraft conducting practice approaches the whole time we were there. This is in the middle of Indiana, mind you

Presumably, the Indiana situation was one where they were repeatedly just flying to the "missed", and would have known what you were doing anyway. Still, it's a bit disconcerting to be landing in the opposite direction to someone who is already on a final - although, I'm sure they would have been a few miles out (I hope!!!).
The majority of my RW flying is to towered airports! Busy non-towered ones are more difficult than working with a tower, IMO.
Keith's reply answers my question perfectly. I wanted to clarify, in my mind, how PE expects us to react in similar circumstances. It's not really important, because there is no interaction in PE with a controller then, anyway. You do what I did! You do what you want

There are one way airports, land uphill takeoff downhill or into the box canyon and out. From a local, you' might hear something like; " I always take off down hill until I have a x knot tailwind."
Maybe, since PE is a training environment, the drones should mimic not just the best pilots but the ones that scare you. I can remember, years ago, a C210, at a non-towered airport, that would execute a circling approach and landing down through the pattern about the same time every day. I think he would make about one call on Unicom. Locals just watched the time and stayed out of the way.

I've used PilotEdge to Bust the Rust and bought an airplane.
