After reading so many good reviews, and due to being a ATPL student i decided to try out pilot edge. And to be sure my systems can handle the plugin i went for the trail period.
But i have a kind of major problem:
After a few minutes after connecting, x-plane crashes on me. It have happened with every plane i tried. even clearing the custom scenery and removing of plugins does not work.
System is iMac mid2011 running OSX 10.9.5, and x-plane 10.30r2. It was stable, even with a lot of scenery and a few other plugins until the installation of pilot edge.
It looks like x-plane crashes after some quick view changes(?)
Can this be due to the AMD 512 MB graphic card?
added the log.txt file, who claims
--=={This application has crashed because of the plugin: PilotEdge}==--
Unable to test on my newer laptop after x-plane fried the charger(!)

Re: x-plane crash
Hi there.
I can't read a crash log, nor offer any real help, but I can tell you that I'm running the same setup as you, and on Oct. 21. X-Plane crashed 3 times on me, so I eventually gave up.
However, yesterday it worked just fine, so I don't know if there were some issues with PilotEdge last Tuesday.

hmmm... same problem on both the 32bit and the 64bit. Also did an update, still crashing.

Re: x-plane crash
Have you tried to repair disk permissions using the Disk Utility, and reboot? I do that after every software installation on the iMac, and also on the Mac Pro I have in my studio, and it keep the systems much happier.
Just a thought.

Re: x-plane crash
I will spend some time on my Mac with the current plugin and see if I can replicate the crash. There just isn't enough information here to know what's causing the plugin to stop working on your machine. I'll have to produce a version with more debugging in it, as I'm going to do for the linux users, too.
Re: x-plane crash
It may be worth trying to update your X-Plane software to the latest version. I'm not sure if you mean 10.30b2 or r2, but there should be a better version to run. I hope this helps!mathimat wrote:System is iMac mid2011 running OSX 10.9.5, and x-plane 10.30r2.
Re: x-plane crash
Did a update yesterday, no version change in the log.txt, and the crash still occures.
It looks like the new charger is just a day away. (The Norwegian postal service north of the polar circle is not exactly quick)
btw: love your streams Chris!

Re: x-plane crash
Got my charger today, and pilotedge seems to run smooth on my MBP.
Might be an overall stability issue with the iMac, but i do not recall having any x-plane related issue prior to the pilotedge install.
Anyway an debug option for the plugin might be a good idea to sort out other problems.

Re: x-plane crash
So I have been using PilotEdge for a few months with no issues. Have not been able to get online for a couple of weeks. Tonight X-Plane kept crashing after a few minuets of being connected. I really did not want to blame the PilotEdge plug in since it has not changed. But X-Plane is stable as long as I do not connect to the PilotEdge network.
Did you do anything to make your MBP start working?
