Today I had my first class B violation...
I flew the south route, coming from Camarillo. well ahead of the class B I contacted the controller, received a Squawk code and was asked to report at Selpulveda Pass at 5500 - which I did.
I then moved further south along the published route, and suddendly I recieved an angry call from my controller asking why I am violating the Bravo airspace....
i thought I recieved already the approval, since I had my assigned squawk code and the reporting point Sepulveda Pass is already inside Bravo when flying at 5500 (my assigned altitude).
What was my mistake...?

Re: Question on Coastal route
Hello Thomas,
You must receive a specific clearance prior to entering Class B airspace, that was the mistake. It should sound like "Cleared into the Los Angeles Bravo Airspace". If you don't hear that you cannot enter Class B airspace.
However, it sounds like the controller made a mistake here as that report you were given doesn't make any sense (for the reasons you bring up).
Can you let me know the callsign you used for the flight and the time today this happened? That way I can look into this a little more.

Hi Peter,
Sure, I understand that I was wrong
No one from you to blame for, I have lots of fun with your service and do not want to cause any troubles to your staff.
My callsign was "N88LL", and the time around 10:00 pm GMT.

Re: Question on Coastal route
Thomas, don't feel bad, we provide a modest life insurance policy for the controllers, so their family will be looked after.
Ensuring the quality of our controlling is literally our top priority. Being told to report a fix inside the Bravo and then admonishing you for not having a clearance should not happen.

Thanks Keith...
I really want to point out that I am fully satisfied with the service you provide...Pilotedge is simply the best "addon"'I ever had for my 20 years+ of flight sim experience. Because of my disability in correctly identifying colors I did not pass the medical here in Austria, so at least I want to make my sim experience as realistic as I can. And you guys definately make this happen
BTW, 20 minutes ago I mastered the coastal route without any issues

Re: Question on Coastal route
Hi Thomas,
One of the fun routes is to go VFR over LAX using the "LA Special Flight Rules Airspace". You can find it on the LA TAC chart. I'll use it going down to Long Beach from Oxnard and back. If you would like, we could fly it together some time.
