HD CSLs

Post by stevekirks »

So I've downloaded the most recent Windows client and it seems there are plenty of missing CSLs. Would it be possible for someone to post the list of what CSLs should be included? There are only two props listed in the props folder: C172 and S340.

There are lots of other CSL's in the other folders, almost all of them are the old style, low-res CSLs, btw.

I guess I'm trying to figure out why all of the helicopters I see look like a dragonfly missing parts. I found some CSLs for a 207 and a Robinson, but I loaded them in to the right folder, restarted, reconnected and they were still dragonflies.

Watching you guys on Twitch - should I be able to see the same thing with the default Windows/X-Plane PE client? If not, where's the best place to find CSLs to add these in?

Steve,

Can you go to KAVX and tell me what type of helicopters you see coming and going from there? Also, can you post a picture of your CSL folder?

Thanks for the tech support:

Screen shot from 15:54Z: KAVX ramp - I'm the C172
Top Level of the folder, with the folder structure in the title bar: Link
Heli folder for reference - JetRanger folder was always there, I added the others. Link

This is the most recent client download (FYI)

The Bell 206 and R22 folders should be on the top level CSL folder, not in your heli folder. It'll work once you move them to the correct spot.

Hello-

I'm new to PE and I love it so far. My only complaint is that the helicopters look like dragonflies. Where do I find the CSL files? Can I make CSL files? I fly many of the x-plane payware helicopters, including the BFDG UH-60, DMO S-92, Dreamfoil B407, X-Trident B412 and Virtavia/Dawson H-3. If other PE aviators are flying these, it would be nice to see them on the monitor screen. What are the steps to finding and installing the CSLs correctly?

Thanks!! :)

I just made the previous thread about this topic into a sticky thread so it would be on top. Having the payware aircraft installed doesn't translate to a working CSL, they're different things.

The Jetranger and R22 CSL's are available, though, see the sticky thread and enjoy :) I'm just waiting for final permission on the 407, it's getting close.
