preview 2 HD CSL's (Bell 206 and R22)

Post by Keith Smith »

For those who have been waiting to try out the new HD CSl's, we're not quite ready for the full release of all of the models, but we can let two of them out the door for tonight's flyout from L90 to KAVX. See this thread for the links to the JetRanger and Robinson R22 CSL's. Thanks to DreamFoil Creations for these models!

If you want to see these babies in action, head over to KAVX any time (make sure you have sloped runways turned off, of course), the field is swarming with them. The B206 CSL also makes allowances to serve as the visual model for the Bell 407 which is what those AVX drones really are. There's also a single R22 over on the west side of the field from time to time.

Btw, to get the most interesting viewing experience, try turning on global shadows (rendering options) and enable HDR. Set it to dusk and notice the effects of the lights and shadows. Life changing :)

Keith they look absolutely awesome, can't wait to see the other CSL's when they are ready. Drone spotting may become the latest sport on the network!

Will you be able to make the 407 CSL public?

*Edit* was supposed to say spotting not stopping

David,

The author thinks Milviz (the makers of the 3d model) will go for it, so unfortunately not. I'm going to see if I can get permission to release it to 407 owners.

Ah well I own the Dreamfoil 407 (and fly it regularly) so definitely fall into that category. It definitely makes the immersion in the sim feel even greater with those CSL drones at Catalina.

Finally got it worked out with the author. The Bell 407 will be released as soon as I can get to it :)

Don't forget to add a BE58 CSL to the release (even if it is mediocre). They are showing as B190's.

Yes, the Baron CSL is done (it was the first HD CSL ever made), although it doesn't have animated props unfortunately. I'll be sure to include in the release.
