CPDLC on the network?
With controllers workloads, especially on the clearance side of things, being a key issue on the network, would it not be a good idea to think about having a CPDLC type client window to obtain clearance from the big airports that will have such a system in place in real life? You could also incorporate the ATIS into it as they do in real life.

Re: CPDLC on the network?
The majority of the clearance delays are not associated with jet flights between the bravos, it's normally the full route clearances for those who didn't file a published TEC route. That said, it is something we're considering.

Excellent cheers Keith. I know the main workload is from IFR clearances from people who haven't filed TEC routes but I suppose anything that lowers the amount of comms on clearance is a good thing. Being what they do at the major airports around the world also means it doesn't detract from the realism the network strives for.
