I also don't use Facebook and don't see the point in having to look for news on two locations instead of one.

Sidney, as I mentioned before, it was a teaser that was posted on FB which I forgot to reflect here. I have not made any posts in this thread implying that you should check two places.

I would think that even having the basic sub for piston pilots who only fly in ZLA will become more immersive as we'll see more jets coming to LAX and actually have to be separated from them around the class B. I am psyched!

Can't promise that it'll happen, but it certainly can't hurt LA's chances of getting some more jet traffic. I concur.

The auto force of disconnect for flights out side current range is a bad idea when the client crashes to desktop for the entire game on some clients. That should be thought out more until the client is fixed in that regards as it's favoring specific setups only. I should be able to fly to any airport within the sim and just not get atc if outside standard service. Not be forced to disconnect and crash my entire sim when the plugins design is outside my control to fix.

David,

I agree, it would be a bad idea if it was a general client issue, but the crash you're experiencing is not being experienced by any other linux users AFAIK. That said, I'll do my best to try to get that fixed for your machine. I wasn't able to replicate it on my linux setup and nobody else is reporting it. If you fly within ZLA, it's not going to be an issue. If you within the expanded coverage area and you have a subscription for that area, it's not going to be a problem. If you fly outside of any of the coverage area, it's not going to be a problem.

The only time this will be an issue is if, on your machine only, you fly into the exapanded coverage area and don't have a subscription which covers that area.

Keith. A couple of questions.

Are you planning to offer any start up "deals"? For example a reduced rate if some of us with PAID annual subscriptions sign up during an initial period? Like what was done for the Real World IFR series?

Are there any plans to offer a pro-rated coterminous option? For example in my case I'm paid up through June 2016. Should I wish to add the expanded coverage area pay a reduced rate to have the contract term expire at the same time as the regular service?

Regarding the Linux issue. I do have a working Unbuntu Linux system available. I don't use it all that often but it did work "mostly" fine in all of my previous tests (Carenado problems currently holding me back). Are there any tests I could help with?

Keith, we installed the trial xplane and pe on my brothers 64 bit Ubuntu setup and we tested the client there. It crashed the same way, with the files exporting the same exact data so I didn't bother sending them to you.

Wmburns, I'm on a self built Arch Linux install, so I thought it was perhaps a missing library on my end. Unfortunately, nothing new is known since a completely different computer did the same thing.
