X-Plane v10.4 Is Out

Post by BonanzaDude »

Of course I go on and complain in the Prepar3D forum about the newest release coming out tomorrow. I decide to startup X-Plane and guess what happens, the update screen tells me that v10.4 is ready for download. Of course I immediately downloaded the newer version. Only thing I am seeing so far is that the old situation files are corrupt. This being my first X-Plane upgrade that is something that I didn't know.

Oh and it didn't cost me any additional money. I might be spending more time in X-Plane that P3D now. :D :D

Great news, although, history has told me to wait a few months to upgrade as Laminer fixes performance issues and I heard 10.4 has considerable frame drops.

FWIIW, this is one reason I think it's a good idea to maintain two X-Plane installations. It gives an easy way to test Beta updates without risking your main system.

Thanks for the heads up though. I will be updating my BETA files this evening and testing. I will skip the update on the production until I'm sure 10.40 works for me. Thanks.
