Flight Sim Setups

Post by BonanzaDude »

There were a few of us on chat this afternoon and I asked the question about what people were using for their monitor(s) as I was beginning to decide what my next step will be in upgrading my computer. As you can see in the picture I have (2) Dell Ultra 1920x1200 monitors using nVidia's Surround to extend my desktop to both. My thought were to add a 3rd Dell monitor of suimilar specs and that is where my question comes in. What are people doing with their setups? I like being able to see more of the panel with my setup and if I decide to add a 3rd I will angle both side monitors to make it more realistic.

The 3rd monitor now is for watching twitch or viewing charts. The iPad is currently running WingX Pro which will be replaced with ForeFlight when my current subscription is up. I have a second PC on the left for running other flight sim apps and you can see my subwoofer to the right of my second computer.

OMG! I use boxes between the wall and the rudder pedal base too!

I'll get my area cleared up a bit and post some pics tomorrow...

Hello,

I've built my own Cessna Skylane cockpit, using Saitek's panels. Very pleased with the result! :)

All that cool Boeing gear and no yoke... So cool but I feel let down. In all honesty, that's some killer gear!

Wow, there are some nice setups here. I just have a CH Yoke and Pedals, homemade switch panel, and TrackIR for my GA flying. Note to self, clean up desk area.
