I assume any initial implementation would just be through the PE client via something like file flight plan dialog. It would be cool if the PE client had some extensibility points (Lua API?) to allow for deeper integration with third-party aircraft.

We've been testing a similar system at MEM called DTAP. Here's a link to a PDF file with some details.

It's worked very well, and the software is being rolled into our TDLS in the coming months.
