Drone Use of Active

Post by barcman1967 »

Flew into Delano (KDLO) and the weather (Real World, Sim and From myflightroutes.com ATIS) was favouring 32. Low and behold as I was on approach I found a PE drone departing 14 - quick bail out to avoid and then circle back for 14 to avoid conflicts with another PE drone.

Question is - is there a way to forecast which runway drones will be using? I don't remember exactly what the winds were but I don't think they were howling in any one direction.

This question has undoubtedly been asked before, but I couldn't find any reference in the forum.

Hello,

The drones always use the same runway and don't change based on winds. So once you see what runway they are on that's the one for that airport.
