VFR workshop in the simulator - just great!

Post by Thomas_Horn »

...Just finished the flight from Katama (Martha´s Vineyard) to Block Island in the simulator (FSX SE), which was demonstrated in the real world flight training program "VFR workshop" from Keith.
I used FTX Global with Flight1 UTX USA, the A2A Cessna 172 and Foreflight on the iPad - so I had exactly the same equipment as in Keith´s real flight. I also downloaded the original weather and winds from the day in June 2015.

It was so much fun...I also had the same annoying beeping sound (altitude warning) from the autopilot

It´s amazing how realistically you can train for real world in the simulator nowadays...not so much different if you look outside the cockpit compared to RW.
Block Island airport by the way has been upgraded in the FTX free airport packages for North America which makes it even more realistic.

I really can recommend the training course, even vor virtual pilots only...its definitely worth the money (if you have FSX or Prepar3D...not so much fun in X-Plane hehe..)

cheers, Thomas

Thanks Thomas!

The 'workshops' forum refers to the free PilotEdge workshops, whereas you are referring to the Real World VFR commercial product that we developed with PilotWorkshops.

For that reason, I'm going to move to the Pilots forum instead.
