As long as his next plane can fit both my height and weight. That was a bit of a challenge; though, I am happy to report that at least my one leg fit comfortably in his plane. We're making progress.

The Garmin 430 with WAAS would be great, but that seems to have a DG rather than an HSI, so it seems like it would be a lateral move rather than an upgrade. I recently came up with a plan for my airplane... I'm going to upgrade the Garmin 420 with a 420 WAAS so that I can shoot LPV approaches on the HSI. I'll still have to shoot ILS approaches on the NAV2 CDI (far left side of my panel), but with LPV approaches being added on a regular basis, I think having WAAS will be the right long term strategy. It's a relatively inexpensive upgrade compared to my original plan to move to a 430 WAAS.

The only way I can take Anthony in my plane is to chop him into pieces and give each of his limbs a ride, one at a time. It's crossed my mind :)

Keith, don't forget about the ADS-B upgrade due around 2020.

Well aware. With the 420W I would have a good position source. I have a blind encoder with digital output. All I need is a new transponder to meet the ADS-B out requirement and I'm done. We found ou how that will fit into the panel by losing the fuel pressure gauge and moving the intercom down to where the current transponder is. That will free up a full width bay for a new transponder.

I'm told lots of new solutions are gong to be announced at OSH.

Nice Keith. Losing a couple of pounds in the panel as well. My flying partner wants to go with a 650 in the panel. I am flexible but ADS-B is gonna be an added expense and getting a shop appointment will be difficult as drop dead date nears.
looking to see if OSH is doable this year as Lakeland is not. Nice to have options, have not kept on on tech for the plane.
